Missouri Compromise
Henry Clay had a compromise with the North and the South he said that South would get another free state which was Missouri and the North would get Maine so it would stay balanced. -
Slavery
Slaver started in 1819 then the U.S. whites bought the slaves and then they were there masters. Some slaves tryed to run away and they made a quilt that helped them to freedom.The slaves had no rights and the most whites did not even think they where people. -
Compromise of 1850
Henry Clay made a compromise he said California could join the union but to keep it fair New Mexico and utah were ablr to vote o weather to allow slavery in there territories -
Fugitive Slave Act
The Fugitive Slave Act was already mad but was not that strick they decied to make it more of a law. So they said anyone who helped runaway slaves will get introuble by the law. -
Bleeding Kanas
A pro-slavery mob came to Kansas to arrest alll anti-slavery leader then the mob started to do more, they burned down hotels and wrecked most of the town. After they did all that they started fighting and then the people called in the troops by th etime they got there the mob had already killed 200 people. -
John Brown Rebllion
John Brown and his five sons went into Harpers Ferry, Virginia and went into a arsenal and attack it and got guns. Then he went with his five sons and murded a few people then two of his five sons were killed. -
Election of 1860
Lincoln and Stefan A Douglas betke against each other to become president Lincon got most of the states not the people. He won and the Stefan got mad because he didn't win. I tmade the people in the North happy but not the South because the South wanted Stefan to win.
