    The Missouri Compromise was when Free states and slave states was an equal amount of states the decided to make Missouri a state. So they had to make it even so Henry Clay came up with a deal to make Maine a Free State Missouri would be a slave state and all lands in the Louisiana Purchase north of 36° 30' latitude would be a free state.

    August 21, 1831 was when Nat Turner and his group of Marauders got very made that they were slaves and started a rebellion. They traveled from plantation to plantation killing people they killed 57 white people and a 100 black people. This made the south very made because they were slaves and were killing people who were more superior.

The Compromise was California as a Free State and New Mexico and Utah citizens would vote to see if they were going to be a free state or a slave state. You could not sell or buy slaves in the District of Columbia. That led up to arguments between Texas and New Mexico.

    John Brown was an abolitionist who killed five people who believed in slavery. He and five of his sons attacked people believing in slavery at Harper’s Ferry. He was charged with murder for his actions. He was remembered as a hero.

    The Dread Scott decision was when Emerson and his wife was a slave for a person who lived in a slave state but had them work in a free state. They thought that they shouldn’t have to be a slave in a free state so they took it to court and then eventually they passed it on to the Supreme Court. In the court the judge was saying that they had no rights so they really couldn’t take this to court. They also can’t be a compromise because each state gets to pick want kind of state they want to be.
