The Justice Minister and Labour Minister both travel to Winnipeg to meet the representatives citizens' however the leaders of the strike were not invited. -
Police refuse to sign contract
They refuse to sign a contract saying they would not join any unions, but said they would continue to maintain law and order. They were then fired and replaced by an 1800-man force known as "Specials" to tame the strikers. They were armed with horses and baseball bats. -
Arrests? No wai.
Arrests were made for strike leaders in late-night raids. -
Bloody Saturday
On June 21st the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) attack the strikers who flipped a car outside of parliament, killing 30. -
