  • Taxation without Reprisentation

    Great Brittian makes the decision to tax everytthing in the colonies. They thought that the colonists needed to pay taxes just like the British. This angered the Colonists and they were very mad.

  • Sugar act

    The British parliment lowers taxes on mollasses that was imported from the colonies, to stop smuggling and to increace tax revenue. This enraged the colonists so they protested.

  • Quartering act

    The british parlement decided to punish mutiny and to pay for the army because they were neglecting there duty. This angered the colonists.

  • Stamp Act

    The British parliment placed taxes on almost every printed item because britan wanted more power because they were still in debt after the war. This act made the colonists even more angry.

  • Declatory Act

    The parliment had to write new taxes because the stamp act was just reapealled and still wanted to regain power. The colonists were angry about the new power and wanted it to be undone.

  • Townshenhd Act

    They set taxes on all imported goods to try to make the colonists happy. The result was that the colonists stopped buying all british goods.

  • Boston Massacre

    The colonists protested against the british soldiers for many things that they had done. After the massacre, the colonists were outraged and used propaganda against them.

    For the East Indian Co. would profit, there tea was to be shipped to the colonies and sold cheap. This angered the colonists because the local merchants would be under cut.

  • Boston Tea Party

    The Sons of Liberty dressed up as indians and threy tea into the ocean so they wouldn't unload the tea. Afterwards, the citezens partied in the streets for the bravery.

  • Intolerable Acts

    Because of the Boston Tea Party, Boston Harbor was shut down untill all of the tea was paid for. King George wanted to punish the colonists. The colonist were angry and felt isolated.
