  • France declares war on England

    this year, during the French revolutoin, the French declared war on the English

  • Jays Treaty

    Jay was sent to England to deal with the problem of British Troops still occupying forts in the North. all he ended up doing was reitterating the past agreement.

    this treaty made the Native Americans give up lots of land and the Ameridcans purchased Ohio for $20,000

  • Louisiana Purchase

    Thomas Jefferson purchased the Lousiana territory for $15 million fron the French in a HECK of a deal.

  • Lewis and Clark

    Meriwether Lewis and Willam Clark were sent by Thomas Jefferson to explore all the land bought for the U.S. in the Lousiana Purchase.

  • Orders of COuncil

    the orders of council were put in effect by England stating that if anybody wanted to trade with Europe they would have to go through Britain
