    Columbus reached the Caribbean and the island of San Salvador on this day. This is important because his "discovery" brought North America to the attention of Europe.
  • Jamestown Colony created

    The first ever successful English settlement would be the Colony of Jamestown, which was founded in the Colony of Virgina on May 14, 1607! This certain colony was mainly only founded for the quick income for certain investors available due to gold mining. To be able to find this land to be able to gold mine took at least eighteen different tries.
  • Plymouth Colony created

    Plymouth Colony created
    In North America was an English colonial venture, which the Plymouth Colony was and also known as a place called New Plymouth. The Plymouth Colony was founded by Piligram Fathers and was one of the earliest Colonies founded in North America, and this also started the tradition of Thanksgiving here in North America.
  • Massachusetts Bay Colony created

    The Massachusetts Bay Colony was created by English Puritans when a group of the Massachusetts Bay Company came over to Salem. They came over to the New World area on 17 ships and there was over 1,000 people on these 17 ships. This colony did have govenors and the first ones name was john Winthrop.
  • New Amsterdam becomes New York

    The name of New Amsterdam was changed to New York in honor of the Duke of York who put the mission together. New Amsterdam didn't like the English and was againist them till 1664 and then the area was passed to the English and it was settler peacefully both types of people could live there.
  • William Penn creates Pennsylvania

    William Penn founded Pennsylvania with a grant his dad had had. He did this so people could practice there religon freely with out being killed for practicing it, he mainly did this for the Quakers. After it was final he sent 50 ships over to get Quakers to bring to the new land.
  • George Washington assaults Fort Duquesne

    George constructed a small battle which killed ten people and took 22 prisinors! Then there was an accidental death of the cammandor and Washington took over commandor.
  • Albany Congress meets

    The Albany congress was the idea of Benjamin Franklin and was meeting in Albany, New York on June 19 to July 11, 1754 with a total of twenty three declicates being there. This congress was meeting to discuss two problems that were going on in the Ohio Valley of American Colonies.
  • The French & Indian War concludes

    The French & Indian War concludes
    The war concluded by a treaty of France being signed and then the war was offically over in North America. Which concluded the French and Indian War in 1763.
