The treaty ended the war between America and Britain, but neither side gained anything from the treaty. The only benefit was that it showed that America can defend itself and gained repect from others. -

Said Eurpoe may not interfere with affairs in independance and to stay away from North America land. This showed the USA was a powerful nation
