    Jane got her arm bitten off by a shark and is being rushed off to the hospital where they will help her.

    Jane wakes up in the hospital with the feeling that her arm is still there. She also finds out that this guy took a video of the whole attack and published it all over the news.

    Jane lost her right arm in the attack which means she will never be able to draw as good as she did and can not become a world known artist.

    Jane is in a lot of pian. She knows people have seen the video and doesn't want all their gifts and cards. She is also very tired and upset of telling everyone that it's okay and she is fine.

    Jane meets Justin, an 8 year-old boy who lost his leg in a car crash, in the hospital; she really loves and cares for him as a friend untill Justin goes leaves to go home.

    Jane has healed and it is time for her to leave the hospital and go home where she must learn to take care of herself and her mom. The doctors and hospital staff are very sad to see her go; so they throw a party for Jane to say goodbye.

    Jane is having trouble moving around and doing stuff at home; she is getting very frustrated because she can't do any of the chores or make herself food. So her and her mom decide to go to the hospital to look at some prostetic arms for Jane.

    Jane goes to the doctors office and chooses a prostetic arm. Jane thinks the arm is unattractive, but she puts that aside because she feels this arm will help her do chores at home and move on with her life.

    Michael, Jane's brother, is leaving for college, so Jane has to learn how to do chores around the house. She starts with mowing the lawn; she realized that it was hard but she was able to do it and this way she would help her mom when her brother is away.

    After a week, it is time for Michael to leave for college. Jane is sad to see him go, but is happy for him that he got into college. Jane will not see him till the weekend when he has a break from school.

    It is time for Jane to go back to school. She is very nervous that the kids will stare at her and think she needs extra care. She is so nervous and afraid that the night before she throws-up.

    Jane is starting to feel better every day. She is recieving lots of letters from kids that are younger than her and who are hurt; she is enjoying them because they know what it's like to be crippled or live with a disability. However, at Thanksgiving Jane got in a fight with her grandfather about the shark attack. This made her sad and cry.

    At Christmas Jane is having a great time with her family and is sharing presents. Then she has a sudden flash and realizes that she is very lucky to be alive and lucky to be there with her family.

    Today is a very special day for Jane and her family. Today is Jane's Birthday and her friends and family threw her a surprise birthday party. One of her friends gets Jane a make-up kit because Jane's friend wants Jane to be more like her.

    Jane tried to cook one day and she was able to do it but had a lot of trouble and made a big mess. So she ordered special equipment made for people with one hand or for people who only have one arm. This made cooking much more fun.

    Jane worked with the hospital to throw a party for all the kids. At the party she realizes that she can live a very normal life, have great relationships and do anything she sets her mind to.
