  • National Defense Education Act

    National Defense Education Act
This is very relevant to me now, because without this I wouldn't be able to be in college. This act helps all college students and any students in universities. Without this students wouldn't be able to get loans to go to school, and a lot of students wouldn't have enough money for school without it. It created a way for students to get an education after K-12, and lets them pay it off little bit my little bit.
  • Ruby Bridges and the desegregation of schools

Ruby Bridges and the desegregation of schools
This is important to me because I have lots of friends who are of color, and I couldn't imagine what school would be like without them. I personally believe that there is no reason to not have all students of any racial stand point in schools.
  • Individuals with Disabilities Education Act

    Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
Children with disabilities should be getting the same education as every other student in schools. More work is put into students with disabilities, but this act made it so it is free for students with disabilities to get a public education. I think this is important because I have friends with disabilities, and it wouldn't be far if they had to pay extra for schooling. They didn't decide to have a disability, so they should get the same education other students can have.
  • Internet Based Online Classrooms

    Internet Based Online Classrooms
Without this being made my mom wouldn't have her job currently. My mom is an online teachers, so I grew up watching her teach her classes. Online classrooms is very important because it gives students another options for their schooling. This is also important because it helped us with the pandemic a lot. Without it we would have been lost trying to transfer over to an online setting, rather then face to face.
  • No Child Left behind

    No Child Left behind
I think this is very important because it allows teachers to see the progression in their students. This act helps show what the student is grasping in their classes, and what they need to work on. Also, it challenges the teachers to work harder, because it is reflecting on them and not just the students.
