  • The Plague of 1665

    The Plague of 1665 was also called the Great Plague. London got it the worst because the streets were just so filthy. It was caused by disease carrying fleas on the body's of rats. This disease also had its own song with it called ring arround the roses. The plague killed an estimated 100,000 people, which 20% of that was Londons people.
  • Cholera

    Cholera can be transmitted into humans by eating or drinking water contaminated with vibrio cholera. The outbreak happened in North America, and killed 50,000 Americans, and in London it killed 5,596. It is a rapid fatal illness that can kill you in 18 hours to several days unless its a more serious case.
  • 1918 flu pandemic

    Commonly known as the Spanish flu was an influenza pandemic that nearly spread to every part of the world. 50 to 100 million people were killed worldwide. Approximatly 1.6 billion of the worlds population died at this time
  • Polio

    Polio is a highly contagious disease that is caused by a virus that primarily lives in the intestines and human faces. 21,000 cases of paralytic polio were reported. You can get the disease by traveling to other country's.
  • H1N1 Swine Fku

    As of July, 31 the H1N1 swine flu has killed a total of 1,154 people worldwide and is still increasing. The virus is very deadly it spreads in 6 weeks as far as most viruses spread in 6 months.
