    Apple QuickTake was one of the first digital cameras available to consumers. Although soon after, other companies entered the field of digital based cameras such as Kodak, Canon, and Nikon. Three years later with the market filled with camera manufacturers, Apple discontinued the production of QuickTake.
  • Apple PowerCD

    Apple PowerCD
    The Apple PowerCd player was of course a device that played CD's and could even connect to Apple computers. Unfortunatelty it was discontinued several years later after it's introduction because Apple wanted to mainly focus on Computers, while Sony continued to dominate the CD player industry.
  • Apple Printers

    Although reliable and needed, the overall size, speed, and purchase price were chief drawbacks, so the production stopped and focused more on computers and software.

    The Gmini series actually had a LCD screen, video and photo capabilites. It's reason for being discontinued was in order to make way for the new generation of Archos products.

    Although viewed as a great product with lots of storage space for music (15GB or 20GB), the downfall of the product was it's competitor, the Apple iPod.

    The iPod Mini series were a part of Apple's beginning period of making good quality 'on the go' music players. Unlike other products that were discontinued for unsatisfactory or competition reasons, The Mini series were put out of production to make way for the new generation of iPods Nanos.

    The Dell Axim PDA was the first ever reliable and useful Windows Mobile-powered pocket PC device. It's uses were many, but in the end, the price and competition called for Dell to discontinue the product.

    The Walkman originally dropped into consumer hands in the late 1990's. But a little over a decade later, Sony introduced it's first line of digital based format MP3 players. Almost instantly, the Walkman Discman was replaced and put out of production.

    The Dell Dimension was a line of Dell's desktop computers, which was replaced by the newer line of Inspiron desktops. Inspiron being more efficient, having more speed, and more processing power and applications.
