    Migrants
This painting was created by Samella Lewis. Samella Lewis was an African American visual artist and art historian. She worked primarily as a printmaker and painter. She has been called the "Godmother of African American Art". She received Distinguished Artist Award for Lifetime Achievement from the College Art Association in 2021. This painting stood out to me because of the abstract colors black and white being contrast. The painting symbolizes the struggle of migrants in America.

This Painting was created by Laura Wheeler Waring whom was an African American Artist. Laura Wheeler Waring was best known for her paintings of prominent African Americans that she made during the Harlem Renaissance. She taught art for more than 30 years at Cheyney University in Pennsylvania. This painting stood out to me because it shows how beautiful African American women are and i loved her red dress it was very eye catching.
