    Though YouTube was registered on 2/14/2005 by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim the first-ever video wasn't uploaded until 4/23/2005 by Jawed Karim.     Zoom is a video meeting app that was founded by Eric Yuan in 2011 but was not released as a beta until August of 2012. Its first official version was released in January of 2013 and reached one million users by May 2013. Due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, zoom skyrocketed in popularity.
