This painting is by Rosa Bonheur. Rosa Bonheur was a French artist known best as a painter of animals. She also made sculpture in a realist style. I really like this painting because of the style the colors look to be cloudy and have a very soft background. -

This sculpture was created by Harriet Hosmer and it appears to be a little angel. The reason that this picture stood out to me is because I love how angelic it looks. Harriet was one of few female sculptors. She was a neoclassical sculptor, considered the most distinguished female sculptor in America during the 19th century. She is known as the first female professional sculptor. Among other technical innovations, she pioneered a process for turning limestone into marble.
