While technically invented in 1989, the first browser to use the World Wide Web was invented in 1990 by English scientist Tim Berners-Lee while working at CERN. While cell phones were developed in the 1980s, it wasn't until 1992 when Nokia released it's 1011 model that the common perception of cell phones began to change. No longer a large brick of a phone, the 1011 was a much smaller and sleeker model, and was the first mass-produced GSM phone. -
