    • Apollo 13 mission suffers huge setback – Apollo 13 launched and when they turned on stirring fans and it caught fire and exploded. They had to relay on the moon to repel it around and then they landed in the South Pacific Ocean and many people thought they did not make it because it took 33seconds longer than normal.

    • First Earth Day - was designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for earth’s natural aspects. Allegedly Pioneered by John McConnell, Gaylord Nelson (senator from Wisconsin) called for earth day to be held on April 22, 1970.

The scandal began on June 1972 , Nixon denied these accusations but he had tape recordings that the supreme court ordered him to turn over and ultimately he chose resignation instead of most certain impeachment, when Gerald Ford came to the white house he pardoned Nixon.

    • M*A*S*H T.V. Show Premiers – Premiered September 17, 1972 and ended February 28, 1983, and was based on the movie “MASH” and the book “MASH: a novel about three army doctors”. It is a medical drama/black comedy that takes place in south Korea during the Korean war showing the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital. The finale was the MOST watched TV Show episode at the time with 125 million views said by the New York times.

In October he was formally charged, he was allowed to plead no contest, if he resigned, in which he did and then Nixon appointed house minority leader Gerald R. Ford to the position.
