John Glenn Orbits the Earth
John Glen became the first American to orbit the Earth 3 times. He became the third American in space and the first to orbit the Earth. It took over 3 years of training but the flight was worth it. John Glenn flew in the Mercury capsule aboard the Friendship 7. When he returned president John F. Kennedy awarded him with the Space Congressional Medal of Honor. -

This is one of the worst and most brutal events that happens in the Cold War. Two Men tried to climb the wall. One was successful but the other was shot. People in West Germany tried to throw the man supplies and were screaming at the East Germans. The man eventually died an the East Germans too his body away. -
