  • One Major Accomplishment of Malcolm X

    Was an African- American Muslim minister and human rights activist. To his admires, he was a courageous advocate for the rights of blacks. A man who indicated white America in the harshest terms for its crimes against black americans. Dictators accused him of preaching racsim, black supremacy and violence.
  • Truman Doctrine

    The Truman Doctrine was an international relations policy set forth by the U.S. President Harry Truman in a speech. The Truman Doctrine stated that the U.S. would support Greece and Turkey with economic and Military aid to prevent them from falling into the Soviet sphere. Historians often consider it as the start of the Cold War, and the start of the Containment policy to stop Soviet expansion.
  • Marshall Plan

    The Marshall Plan was the American program to aid Europe in which the United States gave economic support to help rebuild European economics after the end of World War II in order to prevent the spread of Soviet Communism. The plan was in operation for four years beginnning in April 1948. The goals of the United States were to rebuild a war-devastated region, remove trade barriers, modernize industry and make Europe prosperous again.
  • Berlin Airlift

    The western allies organized the berlin airlift to carry supplies to the people in west berlin. Aircrews from the United States Air Force, the British Royal Air Force etc..... flew over 200,000 flights in one year, providing up to 4700 tons of daily necessities such as fuel and food to the Berlins. The effort was clearly succeeding and, by April, the airlift was delivering more cargo than had previously been transported into the city by rail.

    A seminal event in the U.S. civil rights movement was a political and social protest campaign against the policy of racial segregation. The Campagn lasted from december 1st 1955 when rosa parks and an african american woman was aressted for refusing to surrender her seat for a white person. The United States Supreme Court decision that declared the Alabama and Montgomery laws requring segregated buses to be unconsitutional.

The Democratic Revoltionary Front intended to overthrow the revolitionary leftist government.

    The Amendment prohibits both congress and the states from conditioning the right to vote in federal elctions on payment of a poll tax or other types of tax. The amendment was proposed by congress to the states and was ratified by the states on January 23,1964. Poll taxes appered in southern states after reconstruction as a measure to prevent african americans from voting.

    The Cuban Missle Crisis known as the October crisis in Cuba and the Caribbean crisis. It was one of the major confrontations of the Cold War. And is generally regarded as the moment in which the Cold War came closest to turning into a nuecular conflict.
  • J.F.K Assasination

    JFK was Assasinated in Delay plaza in Dallas Texas. Kennedy was fatally shot while traveling with his wife in a presidential motorcade. JFK's killer was Lee Harvey Oswald acting alone. Americans have suspected that there was a plot or cover up.

  • Voting Rights Act

    The voting rights act is a landmark piece of national legislation in the United States that outlawed discriminatory voting practices that had been responsible for the widespread disenfranchisement of African Americans. Echoing the language of the 15th amendment, the act prohibits states from imposing any voting qualification or prerequisite to voting, or standard, practice or procedure. Also to deny or abridge the right of any citizen of the United States to vote on account of race or color.
