    In 1769, a French inventor by the name of Nicolas Cugnot (Nicolas Joseph Cugnot) had invented the first mechanical automobile which was a steam powered trycicle.

    The first fleet coming from Britain on the 18th of January 1788 had arrived at Botany Bay, Australia. The fleet had then moved to Port Jackson. Two more convict fleets had also arrived in 1790 and 1791.

    The parliament of the UK had passed an act, in 1833, to improve the condiotions for young children working in factories. They had called this the "factory acts."
    A few of the acts were that children at the age of nine or under couldn't work, that children couldnt work at night and that children would get two hours of schooling a day.
