On January 26, the Cascadia earthquake occurred. Cascadia can be found off of the coast of the Pacific Northwest near the Juan de Fuca plate. This earthquake managed to contain a magnitude of around 9 which created a tsunami that captured the coast of Japan.

On April 6, a large amount of slaves, located in New York, started a revolt. This revolt concluded with six slaves committing suicide and twenty-one salves were executed.
