    This was the first American establishment. This was located in Virginia. About 100 people who were called the Virginia Company founded this town near the James River.

    This was lasted until 1614. The Powhatan ordered an attack on Jamestown, due to the English trying to pressure the tribe into helping them make it through the winters that they were not use to. This also caused issues along the James River.

    William Penn formed the colony of Pennsylvania. He wanted to have peace with the indians, and to be able to spread houses out along the river.

    English take over New Amsterdam, from the Dutch, and rename it New York.
