  • Chief Executive

    Salmon P. Chase was the Secretary of the Treasury under President Lincoln. This is an example of an executive leader because it shows how he made the decision to make Chase as a high ranking official of the federal government.
  • Most Important Thing Abraham Lincoln Did

    The most important thing Abraham Lincoln did was start the Civil War. I believe this because with out the war, who knows where our country would be now. Also it showed how he could adapt to difficult situations.
  • Commander in Chief

    President Lincoln ,issued his General War Order Number one, because he was distressed by the immobility of his armies, which directed Union forces to move in on the Confederates on Washington%u2019s birthday. This was an example of Lincoln being Commander in Chief because he made an order to send his troops in to action, and Commander in chief can deploy troops.
  • Executive Order

    Abraham Lincoln made the official order stating that from January 1, 1863 all slaves in states that were still rebelling against the Union would be forever free. This was an executive order because he used his power as chief executive to make sure that the laws are executed in occordence to the constitution.
  • Chief Diplomat

    Lincoln was a diplomat on this day because he was reconized by England as a good leader. This is an example of President Lincoln being Chief Diplomat because it shows how he was involved with foreign countries.
  • Chief of State

    President Lincoln dedicated a national cemetery where the battle at Gettysburg occured. At the cemetery he gave a speech called theGettysburg Address. This is an example of Lincoln being Chief of State because he was dedicating a national ceremony, which is one of the Chief of States powers.
  • Political Party Leader

    Political Party Leader
    This is the day that Andrew Johnson took his place as Vice President under President Lincoln. This is an example as Political Party Leader because one of the jobs as Political Party Leader is to choose who the Vice President will be.
  • Legislative Leader

    An example of President Lincoln being Legislative Leader was when he passed the act to abolish slavery. This was adopted into the constitution as the thirteenth amendment.
