    Middle Colonies
William Penn decided to leave and establish a new colony in America, after being freed from prison for practicing his Quaker religion in England. King Charles the 2nd gave him land below the New England colonies to live free and be able to practice trial by juries, freedom from unjust imprisonment, and free from religious rule. This brought many nations of people to the New World and helped establish the middle colonies, who helped ship imports to the other colonies and the Native Americans.
