    Elizabeth I gave permission to Sir Walter Raleigh to go on a royal charter to colonize Virgina

  • First English Establishment

    91 Men and 17 Women settled on the Island of Roanoke

  • Colony Dissapeared

    The Settlers of Roanoke Island disappeared completely

  • Atlantic Seaboard divided in two

    King James divides Atlantic Seaboard.

  • London Company sends out three ship to Virgina

    144 men were sent in the three ships called The GodSpeed, The Discovery, and The Susan Constant

  • Ships Reach Chesapeake

    Ships sent by London Company reaches its destination and build settlement called JamesTown

  • Tobbaco Growing

    Virgina settlers learn how to grow tobbaco

  • African Slaves

    First African Slaves arrive in Virgina

    The first english emigrants arrived in Plymouth in 1620 which would found the New English Colony which then they would be called Pilgrims.

    The King revoked the charter sent out by the company as he saw they were making money and he wanted to gain something out of it

    Crown grants 12 million acres of land which is located at the top of Chesapeake Bay.
