in 1637 he set out to form a swedish colony in america and in 1638 built fort christina. In 1625 he went to the netherlands. He set out for the companys settlement in america. He reached manhattan and bought the land from the indians.

the dutch established the first european settlement along gthe deleware river in lewes in 1631, but soonly enough it was wiped out by the indians. so the dutch settled for trading posts. The dutch took over the area again in 1655.

it all began in 1681, where he recieved a royal grant of alot of amount of land. penn sought that would ensure the swedish and dutch and finnish settlers were already preesent by the deleware river. thry also remained there citizenship under the the new english goverment.

once william penn got the charter he knew that he was gonna have eto deal with the deleware indians. So he began to buy land from his native holders, And the deleware knew that they have purchased alot of land.

only william penn was so kind to treat the indians as fellow human beings, entitled to fair play, dignity and respect. like the good politician that he is he entered into the games with enthusiasm. and definitely earned there respect by out doing them.
