Peter Minuit led two ships to the Delaware River flying the flag of Sweden. Minuit paid the Indians for the land in Wilmington, Delaware and signed a treaty with them.

The new governor of New Sweden makes a mistake and the dutch and them are no longer friends. The Swedes built 3 forts. One of them controlled the Delaware River. The Dutch governor saw this as an act of war. The Dutch sailed from New Amsterdam with 300 soldiers. They captured 2 forts, the other fort surrendered.
