    Appeasment Policy
    Britian, France, and the US developed a policy of appeasement which was giving into demands to avoid conflict. This lead to WWII because Germany took advantage of it and had no consquences and so conflict was occuring even though it was going unpunished.
  • Japan Seized Manchuria

    Japan Seized Manchuria
    In pursuit of an empire equal to Western powers, Japsn seized Manchuria. This lead to WWII because it caused Japan to withdraw from League of Nations because they condemned the aggresstion., which caused instablily within global politics.
  • Italy Invades Ethiopia

    Italy Invades Ethiopia
    Mussolini invavded Ethiopia, but they had outdated weapons so Italy won but when Ethiopa appealed to the League of Nations and they voted santions against Italy, it did not affect them. This lead to WWII because it showed Italy that the League of Nations had no power over them so thier were no consequenses for their actions

    Hilter Goes Against Treat of Versailles
    Hitler sent troops into Rhineland bordering France, which violated the Versaile treaty. This lead to WWII because it made Hitler more popular at home which gave him more support and increased nationalism, and also it showed Hitler that there were not consequences to his actions because of the new appeasement policy, that was put in place in order to avoid war.

    A general, Franciso Franco,, led a revolt against the Loyalist. Hitler and Mussilini helped him, and the Soviet Union sent soliders to help the Loyalist side., and Francos side won. This lead to WWII because it started a conflict between different political philosophies.

    Rome-Berlin-Tokyo Axis
    Briatin, France, US, Germany, Italy and Japan formed the Rome-Berlin-Tokyo Axiz, know as Axis powers, to strengthen and fight against Soviet communism. This lead to WWII because it was the start of alliances and also allowed for Germany to take terriotories without an interference.

    Austria chanceller refused Hitlers demands to start the Anschluss, so Hitler sent in a German army to preserve order and Hitler ended up annexed Austira because few wanted to fight it. This lead to WWII because he was able to easily take power without resistance, which made him and his nation even more powerful.

    Hitler wanted to annex Sudetenland , and Britain and France chose appeasement and caved to Hitelrs demands if he promised to not expand his territory. This lead to WWII because it was only peace for a short amount of time because Hitler wanted to take more territory and there was nothing stopping him because he was becoming more powerful then the nations he made promises too.

    Nonagression pact with Stalin and Hitler to promise peaceful relations , but secretly they planned to divide up Poland and other parts of Eastern Europe. This lead to WWII because since the Soviet Union and Germany knew that they would gain land and also probably win because both were so pwerful, they felt as if they would benefit if they entered into a war.

    Germany invades Poland a week after they sign the Nazi-Soviet Pact. This lead to WWII because Britain and France declared war on Germany and ended thier policy of appeasment because they realized it did not prevent conflict.
