    Hitler becomes Chancellor of Germany
    President Paul von Hindenburg named Adolf Hitler, leader of the Nazi party, as chancellor of Germany. Hitler gained a large popularity among the post-war Weimar government. This was a significant turning point for Germany. This is the starting point of when the Nazi party took off. Once they took off, there was very little to hold them back. This pushed one step closer to World War 2.

This was significant because it lead to Mao Zedong's leadership of the Chinese Communist Party. Mao's rise in power resulted in another strongly supported individual lleader of a world power, leading further towards World War 2.

    The Anschluss was the annexation of Austria into Nazi Germany. the Anschluss was tricky given that under the Treaty of Versailles, Germany and Austria could not unite. Hitler did find his way around this and ended up invading Austria. The Anschluss was the final shove into the phase tat Hitler is well known for. this was the turning point which led to Austrians living under the Nazi regime in terror.

    Also known as the night of broken glass, Kristallnacht was a wave of violence that occurred under the Nazi-ruled areas in Germany, annexed Austria and Czechoslovakia. Many Jewish-owned homes and businesses, as well as other buildings, were demolished. Kristallnacht marked a significant turning point for the anti-Jewish actions of the time. under Nazi rule​ was no longer a safe place to live. This increased tension between countries as well.
