Magna Carta is Issued
King John abused his power, causing English nobles to revolt against him. This forces him to establish recognition of rights for both noblemen and the common Englishmen. It stateshat no one, not even the king or a lawmaker, is above the law. -

Ancient Ghana Falls
The metropolitan area lost its independence, and it soon lost its importance forcing traders to migrate out and establish a new centre of commerce in Walata to the north east of Kumbi Saleh. This change was caused by a defeat inflicted by one of its former tributary states, Kaniaga. By 1200 Kaniaga had become a strong Suso kingdom. Its king, Sumanguru Kante, conquered Ghana in 1203 and the city was later destroyed by the Mali Empire -

Kublai KHan becomes the "Great Khan"
His eldest brother died in a religious battle between buddhists and Daoists. This granted him the throne. His younger brother, Arigh Boki, challenged him from the South, though he is defeated when Kublai cuts off his suppliy trade. He then claims the title of "Great Khan" in the North after this victory. -

Knights of the Templar suffer the Siege of Safed
The Knights lose this battle, it one of many, to the Mohammedans, with 90 knights are killed in the fighting. 80 more are captured then, when they refused to deny Christ, were killed. They became known as martyrs to the Faith for their sacrifice. -

Rise of the Ming Dynasty
Zhu Yuanzhang becomes the general in the rebellion against the Mongols. He took control of the army after the rebel warlord, Guo Ziyi, died. After beating back the Mongols, Zhu then went on a conquest to conquer all of China. After seven years of fighting, he manages to crush the opposing armies and declares himself emperor in Yingtian. He founded the Ming Dynasty afterwards.
