On September 18, 1931 Japan goes through Korea and attacks Manchuria. That was the failure of the League on Nations and that is was man countries not afraid to attack. This was the start of Japans expansion.

On July 7, 1937 Japan invades China which starts WWII in the Pacific. Japan captures Chinas main port( Shanghai) and later Nanjing fell. Also during this time was "The Rape of Nanking".

On september 17, 1939 Minister Vyacheslav Molotov of the Soviet Union declared an attack on Poland. In the middle of the invasion they were confronted by German troops which later helped each other with polish POW.

On december 7, 1941 Japan bombed Pearl Harbor( U.S Naval base in Hawaii). This entered U.S into WWII and we declared war on Japan.

Germany uses a massive tank offensive agaist the Soviet Union. The Soviets block the attack and began one of thier own.

Soviet Union push east more and more as they reach Berlin,Germany( Germany`s capitol). Sovient then began encircling Berlin.

On May 7, 1945 Germany surrenders to the western forces( Britain and the U.S). Two days later that surrender to the Soviet Union( eastern forces).

On August 6, 1945 U.S drops the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, killing over 66,000 instantly. Two days later U.S drops the second atomic bomb on Nagasaki, Japan killing over 39,000 instantly.

On September 2, 1945 Japan agrees to the Unconditional surrender. Japan surrendered on the U.S.S Missouri. This ends WWII.
