Germany Invades Poland
Germany invades Poland and the Polish were defeated in a matter of weeks. Poland surrenders to Germany. This causes Hitler to become egotistical and far too proud. This was the last straw for Britain and France because soon after the invasion, they declare war. -
Blitzkrieg
Also known as "lighting war", Hitler invades Holland Belgium. He takes the countries with ease, once agin adding to his giant ego. Both countries become occupied. Meanwhile, the allies are stunned at the turn of the events. -
Battle of Britain
Hitler finally decides to directly attack Britain. He begins by bombing their major ports and then moved to airfields. Hitler bombs London, hoping to dishearten the British people. He then results to night raids on important cities. Hitler fails and Britain has prevented Germany from invading their country. -
Operation Barbarossa
Hitler invades Russia. Russia is taken completely by surprise because they had a mutaul treaty alliance with Germany. Russia seeks out the allies for help and gets some assistance from Britain and USA. Russia sucessfully drives Germans out of their coutnry. -
Battle of the Atlantic
A long and continuous battle against the Allies and Germany. It included the sinking of many different kinds of ships. Germany was hoping to hinder Britain's and US's war supplies. The battle finally ends in 1945 when Germany surrenders. -
US enters War
The United States of America enter the war.
