    The Long March was the military retreat by the Red Army of the Communinst Party of China. The Long march consisted of a series of marches that resulted in the move of Communist armies in the south escaped to the north and west.

     Germany invades Poland; France and Great Britain declare war on Germany
    In response to Hitlers invasion of Poland, both allies of the overun nation, declare war on Germany. They were also forced to declare war after Germany ignored their ultimatums which demanded the withdrawal of German troops from Poland.

    Pearl Harbor or the day the we will lve in infamy took place in Hawaii. Japan used a suprise attack on pearl harbor which took out many military ships and military lives. The attack was made before Japan made a formal declaration of war. This was one of many reasons the United States entered WWII.

    Representative from 26 nations at war with the Axis powers, all met in Washington, in oder to sign the Declaration of the United Nations. This endorsed the Atlantic Charter, which pledged to use their full resources against the Axis power.

    Germany surrended to the Allies which led to the end of WWII in Europe. This date was marked as a national holiday in Euorpoe and is known as V-E Day.

    These bombs were created because of the secre Manhattan Project. The bomb on Hiroshima was the worlds first depoyed atomic bomb. These two bombs led to the surrender from Japan from their Emperor Hirohito.
