Germany and the Axis Powers attack Russia with a huge force of over four million troops. Meaning Germany broke the trust he built with Stalin and Russia.

The Japanese attack the US Navy at Pearl Harbor. The next day the US entered World War II on the side of the Allies. This had the US pulled in the war finally in the Pacific.

The US Navy defeats the Japanese navy at the Battle of Midway. This halts the advancement of the Japenese advance on the US and other countries.

D-day and the Normandy invasion. Allied forces invade France and push back the Germans. This was the start to the end of the war. With Germany fighting on their home field for the first time.

Another atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, Japan. This pushed Japan out of the war with the death of thousands of civilians.
