    When the triple entente was formed, Germany felt as though it was a big threat to their alliance.

  • More European power

    Europeans would take over land like Asia, Africa, Etc. This would lead to more countries not wanting to be ruled by another country.

  • Assassination of Archduke Ferdinand

    This was the main event that caused WWI. The Serbian where the group the Austria hungry blamed for the killing of their future leader.

    Austria-Hungary, with the help of Germany, delivers a warning to Serbia.

  • War declared

    Austria hungry declared war on Serbia. This was part of the reason that the small war, then turned into a world wide war.

  • First bombing of before war

    Austria shells bombard Belgrade, the Serbian capital.

    Germany and Russia

    Russia begins full mobilization. Germany demands that Russia stops. Germany declares war on Russia. France and Belgium begin full mobilization.

  • Britain and Germany

    Britain declares war on Germany. The declaration is required on the British Empire, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India and South Africa.

  • Austria-Hungary and Russia

    Austria-Hungary declares war on Russia. This was one of the lasts steps until the full war started.

  • First British troops in France

    The first British troops land in France. About 120,000 men of the regular British Army form the British Expeditionary Force under Field Marshal John French
