Japan wants oil, and also wants to show off to Hitler. American knew it was going to happen because they broke their code, but they didn't know when it would. Everyone thought they would attack in the Phillipines. (20 warships and 200 aircrafts were destroyed, and 2,400 Americans lost their lives.)

Japan wanted Midway so they could reach the Pearl Harbor and attack it AGAIN. We broke their code, and we were waiting for them at Midway after they left the Aleutian Islands. We took over their base after we let them finish building it.

The Allies, led by George S. Patton took control of Sicily in about a month.

They open a "Second Front" against the Germans. They were led by Omar Bradley. Hitler was shocked, and refused to send reinforcements.
