  • Nazis Invade Poland

    This is when everyone starting declaring war on each other so I'm saying this is where WW2 began.

  • Britain, France, Australia and New Zealand declare war on Germany.

  • Canada declares war on Germany

  • Soviet Union expelled from the League of Nations.

    Because the Soviet Union was working with the Nazis, they were ejected from the Leaugue of Nations.

  • Norway surrenders to the Nazis; Italy declares war on Britain and France.

  • Battle of Britain begins.

    This is where Germany wanted to invade Britain, but was too scared of their air force to acutally invade. So they tried bombing the airports, and when that didn't work, they tried bombing big cities like London. This was called "the Blitz" and many people died or were injured during this period. Germany eventually lost the Battle of Britain, but that was mostly because they decided to focus on destroying Russia instead of Britain.

  • Roosevelt re-elected as U.S. president.
