Airborn troops parachuted into drop zones across northern france, then ground troops landed across 5 assault beaches. Utah, omaha, gold, Juno and sword. The battle of berlin is where russia invaded germany in hopes of killing off germany so they won't be a threat anymore. The red army barreled into berlin and captured the city. This was the final step in defeating the german empire and hitler as a whole and this is where hitler finally commited suicide. -
Hitler dies via suicide on April 30 1945 when Germany was getting raided by the soviet union he barracked him and his wife in a bunker and when he got word that Germany was falling to the soviet union he commited suicide with his wife instead of surrendering. They have been seeing each other, But they weren't even husband and wife for a week they were married for 40 hours then they both commited suicide.
