  • First Saturday Surprise

    Hitler proclaims he will be rebuilding the airforce, restarteding the draft, and rearming the army. Hilter claims that it is for "defense." He claims the Germany only wants peace when he starts the regrow the army.

  • Second Saturday Surprise

    Hitler and the army invades Rhineland. Rhineland was off limits to protect Belgium and France. Winston Churchill was the only person who saw this as a threat.

    This unity gave Mussolini, Italian leader, the army he needed to invade Ethiopia. With Italy, Hitler can now take over Austria. The Austrians were reluctant.

  • Austria is invaded

    German Army enters Austria with no one fighting back. The presence of the soldiers persuaded the citizens to become part of Germany. Winston Churchill was warning people of this. He thinks Czechoslovakia is next.

  • Sudetanland

    Sudetanland
    A part of Czechoslovakia was given to Germany after the Munich conference. This area is primarily German. Hitler says it will be his last territorial demand.

  • Germany Takes over all of Czechoslovakia

    Churchill was right. Many counrties started to feel very territorial now. Hitler says again that it will be the last time.

  • Hitler Attacks Poland

    Germans capture Poles and stages a fake attack from the Poles. This give Hitler a reason to invade Poland. This cause the war to start.

  • Yellow Stars

    Yellow Stars
    By now the Jews in Poland are obliged to wear yellow starts to signify that they are Jews. They also had a curfew. They started to reenact the six steps to mass murder in Poland.

  • to June 22, Germany conquers West

    Hitler has conquered most of Europe. Churchill becomes prime minister of Britain and he tries to wage all he can against Germany. Britain seems fairly alone.

  • Germany in Russia

    Jews in Russia thought they were going to be safe. They had not yet heard to what extent Jews were being persecuted. German troops were already in the Soviet Union.

  • The USA joins the War

    The USA joins the War
    After the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor, the US declares war on Japan. Japan and Germany are allies. Germany then declares war on the US. The US, Britain, and The Soviet Union are now fighting Germany.
