    On this day Hitler began to move to his next target. Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia was the German speaking town and Munich Agreement gave Germany that land . In this exchange not one single shot was fired. The British prime minister Neville Chanberland and Daladier sighed the agreement.They signed the agreement for Hitler because they believe Hitler was done with expansions. Also they didn't want anything to happen with more war. Winston Churchill believed it was a policy of appeasement.

    Hitler began what he usual way of capturing of territory. He said that the Germans in Poland were getting mistreated and so he sent "protection"

    Stalin and Hitler signed a nonaggression pact. This means that they will not come in war with each other. At the same time they signed another thing called the "Secret Pact" agreeing that Russia & Germany will split Poland.

    Germany's air force rained bombs on Polish military base, airfields, railroads, and cities. While Tanks were racing across the countryside. This attack was the start of Germany's new offense called "blitzkrieg" (lighting war). Blitzkrieg created fast tanks and more powerful air crafts that will take the enemy from surprise and quickly destroy them before they never it.

    Britain and France declared war on Germany. By the end of the month the second world war began. Blitzkrieg had fallen to sitzkrieg which is now the sitting war.

    Hitler launched a surprise invasion on Denmark and Norway. This was to protect their freedom and independence. The real reason why Hitler did this was to start building military bases a long the coasts of Denmark and Norway so they could attack and defend from Great Britain.

    William Shirer and the rest of the world watched, Hitler handed French officers his terms of surrender. Germany will now have the northern part of France, and a Nazi controlled puppet government, headed by Marshal Philippe Petain, would be set up at Vichy, in southern France.

    Hitler began to assemble an invasion fleet along the French coast. The German naval didn't do its job so Hitler order the air force, which had about 2000 airplanes to rain bombs on Great Britain. Also these planes for two months dropped bombs on London.

    The RAF (Britain air force) shot down over 185 German planes, while they only lost 26 planes. Six weeks later, Hitler stop the invasion of Britain indefinitely. But German planes still dropped bombs on Britain's cities trying to disrupt production but British also bombed German cities.
