The Yalta Conference lasted from Febuary 4, 1945 to Febuary 11, 1945. It was the major conference of World War II that had the 3 chief leaders, Franklin D Roosevelt of the United States, Prime Minister Winston Churchill of Great Britan, and Premier Joseph Stalin of Russia, who all got together to decide on how to defeat Germany.

On May 8, 1945 Germany surrenders and World War II ends. This was the happiest day of the war because everyone new that WWII had come to an end. Hitler was dead, the Nazis were defeated, and best of all, The Holocaust had come to an end.
