Germany invades France and captured Paris.
After the taking of Poland, Germany was slowly gaining land and more power.Germany soon decides to invade France,its next target, also one of the Allied powers ally.Germany swept through France with lots of army to spare.By the time German tanks rolled into Paris, 2 million Parisians had fled by then.And that was the downfall of France.This then leads to the next plan of attack. There was an 88-minute long speech made by Hitler to the Reichstag.It was exactly 4 days after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the speech had shown that Hitler had decided to join with Japan in the war against the U.S.This officially introduced the U.S to the war.

The U.S defeated a Japanese attack against Midway, showing a turning point in the war in the Pacific theater.It was one of the key victories for the U.S. This slowly led to japan's army downfall as the U.S advanced.

American and other Allied troops landed on Normandy, France on D-Day.
The famous D-Day battle started here.It was and attempt to free parts of France from German/Nazi control.Over 156,000 Allied troops had landed on the coast of France in hopes of liberating Western Europe from German control.They had successfully won the battle and was one step closer to winning the war and liberating Western Europe.

The Untied States dropped two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
From August 6th-9th the U.S had decided to use an atomic bomb on two cities of Japan in hopes of ending the war.The dropping of the bombs on both Hiroshima and Nagasaki had forced Japan to surrender the war.This also ended World War II.
