Atomic Bomb "Little Boy" was dropped on the city of Hiroshima, Japan on August 6, 1945 at 8:15 am. Three days later, atomic bomb "Fat Man" was dropped on the city of Nagasaki, Japan at 11:02 am on August 9, 1945. This was done in order to try to get Japan to surrender.
