Italy's leader, Benito Mussolini, invented fascism. This is the political stance of total control over the people, and where there is a belief in a superior group, especially race or ethnicity. China had Mao Zedong, who was the dictator in the communist party. Japan had Hirohito. -

The Great Depression was a time of economy despair, in which the stock market had crashed and the banks were unable to supply money. This mainly took place in the States, but later spread all throughout the world. -
Beginning of Japanese Expansion
Japan begins its quest towards imperialism with an attack on Manchuria. -
Germany Begins to Expand
Germany had a plan for imperialism over Europe, especially for countries that had ethnic Germans. -
Nuremberg Laws
The Nuremberg Laws were racism and antisemitic laws against Jewish and other non-Aryan races, inacted by Nazi Germany. -
Munich Agreement
The Munich Agreement took place between the UK, Germany, France, and Italy. Essentially, the Allies told Germany that they could have Czechoslovakia, in hopes Germany would not be aggressive towards them. -

Kristallnacht, also known as the Night of Broken Glass, began the genocide on European Jews, in which they were spread throughout Nazi Germany. -

Germany and the Soviet Union form a slight alliance, despite being enemies, in which they agree to not be aggressive towards one another so they can achieve their separate goals. -

The US declares war on the Axis Powers after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. -

In attempt at eradicating non-Aryan raced people among other minorities in Germany, Nazi Germany gathers all of them into camps, mass murdering millions. -

Russia Invasion
Germany launches an attack on the Soviet Union, breaking their non-aggression pact. -
Bombing of Pearl Harbor
Japan makes an attack on the US with the bombing of Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, entering the US into the war. -
Germany Surrenders
Hitler commits suicide, and therefore Germany surrenders. -
Potsdam Declaration
The US, Great Britain, and China all call for Japan to surrender at the Potsdam Conference. -
