    After Emperor Taishō died, his eldest son, Hirohito, becomes the new Emperor of Japan. His rule lasted threw WWII. Ruled until January 7, 1989. His successor is Akihito, Japans current Emperor of Japan.

    Assassinated of Zhang Zuolin
    Japanese assassinated Manchurian warlord Zhang Zuolin during the Huanggutun Incident. Increased tensions between China and Japan comes from this.
  • London Naval Treaty

    London Naval Treaty
    Italy, Japan, the UK, and the USA sign the London Naval Treaty agreeing to regulate submarine warfare and shipbuilding. Japan would later renounce their agreement under this treaty.

    Japan invades and take over Manchuria. Attempts to stop the invation through the League of Nations or by other means all fail, weakening faith in the international order.

    Anti-Comintern Pact sighed between Germany and Japan, with other countries joining later, that was anti-communist. The agreement was, if in case of an attack from Soviet Union they would consult on measures to to safeguard their common interests. Neither of them would also make any political treaties with the Soviet Union.

    The Second Sino-Japanese War was a conflict for control of Chinas mainland. Japans plan of attack was to take over all of roads, railroads, and cities, to achieve total control. China relied on the Leage-of-Nations because they were not prepared.

    Japan creates the puppet state of Mengjiang, so that it could expand its influence into Mongolia and North China. The head of state was Demchugdongrub.
  • Rape of Nanjing

    Japan captures Nanjing. 300,000 out of the 600,000 poplulation was killed. Comfort Women system introduced forcing young women to become slave-prostitutes. Over 20,000 females were gang raped, including women over 70 and girls under 8. The streets were said to literally have run red with blood.
