Germany and Russia agreed to split Poland between them. Germany invaded Poland for more living space. The war started because Hitler attacked Poland. -
Germany invades France and Captures Paris
Germany had gotten very big and wanted to continue growing, so they attacked France and captured Paris. They did this because France was a big enemy and was their chance for more territory. This made Great Britain the last country left in the allied powers. -

Germany still wanted to expand so they tried to conquer Britain because France was out. They did this because they thought that they could not stand a chance to the Nazis. Eventually they attacked and started the Battle of Britain. -
The Lend Lease
America signed the Lend Lease so they could show that they actually traded and that Britain can’t back out and America gets payed. The Lend Lease sells naval ships and war supplies for naval bases in Bermuda and Caribbean islands. This helped the US help in the war more efficiently and it also helped Britain because they had an ally and better chance of winning the war, which they did. -
Germany invaded the Soviet Union, but the Soviet Union defeated Germany at Stalingrad.
Since Germany had covered 60% of Europe and wanted to continue, Germany’s next move was to take down Russia. So Germany decided to attack Russia since they were very big but failed because Russia was too powerful. Russia defeating Germany caused the turning point of the war in Eastern Europe. -

Japan bombed Pearl harbor destroying many ships. The point of Japan bombing Pearl Harbor was to keep interference from America while conquering other lands. Doing this brought America into World War II. -

Germany had declared war on America, then America declares war on Germany and Japan, causing a war. Germany declared war on America because of what Germany claimed to be provocations from America. Then America declared war on Germany and Japan for the bombing of Pearl Harbor. All of this caused a war to break out. -

The battle of midway was fought in the Pacific theater of war in which America won June 7 1942. America and Japan fought the battle of midway because they had declared war on each other. America winning the war was the turning point of World War 2. -

America and other allied powers started to attack the Nazis to get rid of concentration camps. They did this because doing this could help them win by also taking the land back. This result of D-Day was the beginning of the end to the war. -

The Battle of Bulge was Germany's last big battle to break the Allied powers. It lasted 3 weeks. It was in the forests of France, Belgium and Luxembourg. America lost more soldiers in this battle than any other in WW II. Germany eventually lost because their troops and weaponry were moving too slowly on the same roads, so the Allied forces were able to start air strikes on them. -
Battle of Iwo Jima
Japan was fortified on Iwo Jima when America attacked them with an all out air strike. Iwo Jima was an island in the Pacific ocean. It was the last battle of World War 2. -
The U.S dropped 2 Atomic Bombs on Japan
The U.S president Harry S Truman made the decision to drop 2 nuclear bombs, one on Hiroshima and one on Nagasaki. Harry Truman wanted to end the war very quickly so his decision was to bomb Japan. The result caused many deaths and injuries. The radiation from the bombs are still in the seas and causes marine mutations and gives cancer to those who eat the seafood that is poisoned. After that Japan surrendered.
