  • The Holocaust

    When Hitler recived power he took away the Jews and other non-Aryans rights. Nazis attacked the Jews and their buildings and brought them into Buchenwald concentration camp which was one of the first camps to open. As Hitler gained more power he planned to kill all the Jews and people who didnt share the Nazis views. It finally ended in 1945. The Nazis killed 6 million Jews and 5 million minorities.
  • Hitler ordered German troops enter the demilitarized Rhineland

    Hitler ordered German troops enter the demilitarized Rhineland which was a huge violation of the Treaties of Versailles and Locarno. This also was an issue of collective security because Britain and Italy pledged to help France if something like this happens in the 1925 Locarno Pact but instead they did nothing.
  • Treaty of Munich

    Hitler, Chamberlain, Daladier of France and Mussolini of Italy met and agreed that Hitler should have the Sudetanland of Czechoslovakia. At the meeting Hitler said that he wanted the Sudetanland of Czechoslovakia for expantion. The Czechs were not at the meeting and did not want to be ruled by Hitler. They knew that no one would defend them so they surrendered to Germany.

  • France and Britian declare war on Germany

    Hitler invaded Poland in September 1939. Then France and Britain declared war on Germany. Once they conquered Poland, Germany attacked France
  • Pearl Harbor

    Before 8 am on a sunday morning Japanese began to attack a Hawaiian island. The attack took two hours and killed or wounded over 3,500 Americans and sank or badly damaged 18 ships.
  • Stalingrad

    The battle of Stalingrad was a very violent one. 4 million troops crossed the Russian border to fight and in the time of one month over two and a half million Rusian troops had been wounded, captured, or killed.
  • D-Day

    On D-Day, June 6, 1944 , General Dwight Eisenhower led U.S. and Allied troops. They invaded Normandy, France. This led th Germany Surrendering.
