This was the start of WW2
-
This was a big moment in WW2 because this is when things started to become more intense. This was the first major "move" that was made.
-
After being attacked, Germany stood their ground. Instead of them being attacked, they are now standing up for themselves and taking it to a completley different level.
-
This was a big event because the British Government was not very strong so now they are attempting to get a new leader hoping to turn them in the right direction.
-
Now, Italy is entering the battles. This is Italys first appearance in WW2.
-
This was the first time air attacks were implimented into the war. Since this moment, it was never the same.
-
Now instead of fighting, countries are trying to team up. Signing this treaty meant that Germany, Japan, and Italy all had an alliance.
-
The alliance is now starting to pay off. The treaty attacks Russia and wins big time. This was the first big victory in WW2.
-
Now, Japan is making their move. Out of nowhere, they blindside the US Navy and attack Pearl Harbor. This is one of the most remembered scenes from WW2.
-
A little payback time for the US. After being attacked in Pearl Harbor, the US attacks Japan and wins.
-
Italy was forced to surrender its allies. When this happened, they lost a lot of power. Germany helped Mussolini escape and now he is trying to set up a government in Northern Italy.
-
Germany got them involved into this war, and the risk did not pay off. They lost soldiers and army men and it turned out to not be a good idea for them to start this.
-
The US Marines invade the island of Iwo Jima and are successful. It was a big risk for them, but it payed off. When it was all said and done, they captured the island.
-
This was a risky situation for the US. They took a risk, and it paid off. They successfully made it and crossed the Rhine River under General Patton
-
This was a sad moment for the United States. They watched their president die.
-
This was one of the most pivitol events in WW2. When Adolf Hitler, committed suicude. He realized he lost, so he felt it was best for him to kill himself.
-
When things go bad, they don't get better. Shortly after Germany's leader (Hitler) killed himself, they ended up having to surrender.
-
This is perhaps the biggest move the US made during the entire WW2. They took revenge on Japan, and it left a devastating mark for the Japanese. Their entire city was destroyed. (Hiroshima)
-
The US wasn't done yet. Just 3 days after they droped a bomb on Hiroshima, they dropped another devastating bomb on Nagasaki.
-
This is essientially what wrapped up WW2. After this event, it was done. It all ended when Japan surrendered to the US.
