The American government implemet the Lend Lease Act which allowed them to help countries in the war that they deemed worthy and deserving.

Japan bombed an American base. This was the event that caused the United States to come out of isolation and join the war. The day after the bombing, the US declared war on Japan.

(June) The United States got a victory over the Japanese navy forces. Because of this victory, the US was able to push the Japanese back.

Mussilini was overthrown and the new governemnt surrendered to the US. They then joined the Allies.

The Allies attack on German Forces on the beaches of Normandy. It was an extremely bloody battle and hundreds died. This was an esstienal battle since it was crucial the Allies captured this port.

Germany forces surrender. One admiral wanted to continue fighting on only one front, but he was denied.

V-J day marks the victory over the Japanese and that the war was now over.

The United States drops their first atomic bomb in the ciry of Hiroshima in order to win the war faster and save American lives.

Since Japan did not immediatley surrender after the bombing of Hiroshima, the United States decided to launch another bomb in Japan.
