The batte of Midway was a turning point in the fight aginst Japan. While the Japanese Navy severely outnumbered hat of the U.S. the U.S. tried a differen tactic. The Japanese warships were ment to fight other ships and they were'nt equipped for an ariel assault. So the U.S. started manufacturing aircraft carriers.
