  • Nazi Party

    When Hitler joined the Nazi Party The German workers' party was formed by Anton Drexler 7th person to join was Adolph Hitler. Hitler transformed this party from a couple of guys in a bar into an enormous political movement.
  • Treaty of Versailles

    Treaty of Versailles signed on 28 June 1919 by Germany and the allied powers at the palace of Versailles. A sizeable, with the addition of numerous annexes. Begun in early 1919 and completed in April after several months of hard work bargaining it was presented to Germany for consideration on May 7, 1919 Treaty supported the rise of the Nazis and the Third Reich in 1930s Germany, which in turn led to the outbreak of War Word II
  • Beer Hall Putsch

    Hitler held a rally in a Munich Beer Hall and declared a revolution, Hitler was imprisoned and sentenced to 5 years in jail. But Hitler only ended up serving nine months.
  • Stock Market

    Stock Market Crashes creating a world wide depression began in late october 1929 and was the most devasting stock market crash in the history of the united states, when taking into consideration the full extenet and duration of it's fallout. The crash signaled the beginning of the 10- year Great Depression that affected all Western Industrialized countries.
  • Germans Unemployment

    September 1930, Germany's Unemployment had risen to 3,ooo,ooo. By 1930 Germany's manufacturing had fallen seventeen percent from that 1927 level. Bankruptcies were increasing. Farmers were hurting. Some in the middleclass feared sliding into the lower class. And some in the middleclass blamed the economic decline on unemployed unwilling to work - hunger was widespread.
  • Reichstag Fire

    The Reichstag fire took place on February 27,1933. The Reichstage building was where Germany's parliament sat and the fire that destroyed it has to be seen as one of the defining moments in the early days of Nazi Germany.
  • Dachau

    Established on March 20,1933 in the southern German town of the same name although it was intially established to hold political prisoners of the third reich, only a minority of whom were Jews, Danchau soon grew to hold a large and diverse population of people targeted by the Nazi.

    According to the census of June 16,1933, The Jewish population of Germany, including the saar region which at the time was still under the administration of the League of Nations was approximately 505,000 people out of a total population of 67 million, or somewhat less than 0.75 percent. That number represented a reduction from the estimated 523,000 Jews living in Germany in January 1933; the decrease was due in part to emigration following the Nazi take over in January.   • The Nigth of the Long Knives

    The Night of The Long Knives in June 1934, saw the wiping out the SA'S leadership and others who had angered Hitler in the recent past in Nazi Germany. After this date, the SS lead by Heinrich Himmler was to become far more powerful in Nazi Germany.
  • The Nuremberg Race Laws

    At the annual party rally held in Nuremberg in 1935, The Nazis annouced new laws which institutionalized many of the racial theories prevalent in Nazi ideology. The laws excluded German Jews from Reich citizenship and prohibited them from marrying or having sexual relations with persons of ''German or related blood.'' Ancillary ordinances to the laws disenfranchised Jews and deprived them of most political rights.
  • Road to War

    The second World War in Europe began on 1st september 1939, when Germany invaded poland. No one could have predicted the scale and length or this war. Europe had underestimated Hitler and his ambitions. When Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany in January 1933, He exploited the anger that Germans felt as a result of their treatment in the Treaty of Versailles.
